Helmet - Screws or Rivets

Post by MudGunner » Tue Sep 12, 2017 5:49 pm

CRL calls for either rivets or screws to secure the helmet together, what about both?

I was thinking of using screws for the first of the two that connect the jawbone as I can use the screws to secure the lens and chinstrap this making them both easier to replace> My WTF has a greenish color lense to it and I would hate to glue it in and decide nope and have to rip out and tint it...

Thoughts?

Thanks in advance

My entire helmet is assembled using screws. I would always recommend them over rivets(barring screen accuracy), for the simple reason that you can easily disassemble the helmet to transport it, clean it or make repairs. So if you can do it without sacrificing screen accuracy, screws are always the way to go in my opinion.
