Thanks again Drew for your quick reply! I hadn't heard of M1 but deduced through some googling that it might refer to the flame retardantness of a fabric? Which ... I mean, I'm going to play hard in this costume but I don't know if I'm going to play THAT hard! :D

I'm fortunate to have quite a few sources for fabric near my home so hope to have a winner picked soon. It seems like the color to shoot for is "gray so dark you think it might be black until you see it next to actual black and realize, 'oh no that's definitely gray.'" Does that sound about right?

This is the comm pad, which to my eye matches the photos I took of the suit in Orlando. I can figure out the lenses, I just had it in mind the lenses matched a known gunner helmet part or TIE pilot part or something but I think I could have been thinking of something else

That's pretty much it. (Severely) faded black could even work but, from every reference I've seen, it's not black.

Can you get a measurement of the outside diameter of the posts the caps fit on? I might be able to find something.

Sure! The outside is 5/8" or 16mm (inside is 7/16" or 11mm)

I might have a bead on the part number. I'm not 100% sure but I think the part for the red lens comes off of EAO 51-933.2. The part is listed as being 15.8mm in diameter. I'm not sure if that means the drill hole or the outer diameter of the cap. I did find another spec that lists it at 18mm. If both are true, then the outer diameter of the lens should be 18mm and the inner diameter close to 16mm. The blue cap has a part number of 51-933.6.

Again, not entirely sure. I might order some just to do comparisons against the ones we use on the commbox. If anything, I can use them for my custom power droid.

Wow, that seems super close! I can find online where they're just a couple bucks to order. This may be a super stupid question, but just confirming, I would need transparent blue and transparent red, instead of blue and red, correct?

Translucent red and blue. But, yeah, that's all they sell :)

I'm just not sure if those exact parts are going to be spot on or just a bit too small.

I know this sounds crazy but im looking to make a system for lifting and lowering the visor. But the catch is I dont have a helmet. does anyone have 3d files for it or could someone help provide dimensions for the helmet mainly the visor and forehead area?

I don't know about the Florida suit, but the Anaheim suit is displayed at an angle which makes getting exact dimensions a little difficult. I know the helmet dome is a custom sculpt and not directly taken from a found part. The earcups are, though. That's from a Korean War era Navy flight patrol helmet: the Gentex DH-51-4

Do you have further informations about the shoes to wear and where to find them ?
Boots or combat shoes ? I have quite small feet... this gonna be a challenge ! Ready for it ;-)

As far as we can tell they wore jackboots. It's far easier to find them for small feet than large feet. Engineer boots are a close approximation of jackboots. The heel is a little taller, but, once the lower strap has been removed, they are very close in appearance. Jackboots tend be just a little taller but that's about the only difference.

Thank you for confirming the first idea I had... and for giving an alternative I didn't think about ! Good to know !

I have started the actual draft of the CRL at viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2836. Please use that thread to discuss the language, items, and specifics of the CRL itself. This thread will remain open for research, general discussion, and references. As we nail things down here, it will get added to the CRL draft.

Belt box language is up. I used my pictures of the Launch Bay costume to get approximate dimensions of the boxes. These are definitely much smaller than the ANH boxes.
